Photography route in western Kazakhstan
A photo expedition built around the landscape
Mangystau is a strong photography destination because the scenery changes constantly: white limestone cliffs, salt flats, stone spheres, isolated mountains, coloured ridges and open steppe. The difficulty is distance. The best viewpoints are spread across remote terrain, so a useful photo itinerary needs more than a list of coordinates.
Sergey plans the driving order around light, access and realistic travel time. The pace can include longer stops for tripods, panoramas, portraits or video instead of treating each place as a quick roadside stop. He is also an experienced DJI drone recorder and can film parts of the journey when weather, safety and local conditions allow.
